The Four Stages From Suspicion To Acceptance .
Suspicion
First-Time Mama – You are probably seeing signs that are not in line with the books and/or the CDC guidelines for child development you have read during your pregnancy.
Experienced Mama – You are thinking every child is different but you are secretly thinking to yourself, why is this child so different from my other kids?
Fear
The feeling of “something is wrong” is getting heightened day by day but you are scared to talk to anyone or bring it up to your child’s doctor. A part of you really wants to talk to someone but you are scared your fears will be confirmed.
Diagnosis / Denial
You have taken the bold but scary step and have officially received a diagnosis from a doctor. You are struggling with the results and stuck at asking God why that you are unable to move on and figure out where to start from. You have made a conscious effort to erase the visit to the doctor’s office out of your mind.
Acceptance /
Determination
As difficult as the diagnosis is, you have come to terms with it and have one thing in mind, to help your child.

My Story
Hi Mama, my name is Kukuu!
A few years ago, I got thrusted into a world I knew nothing about. We received a diagnosis of Autism for my daughter and am not going to lie, it was not pretty. I have cried many tears and initially wondered why me? Why her?
As time has passed, I have come to the realization that God truly does not give us more than we can handle. When He tests us with something, there is something bigger to be learned.
So here I am, a few years later, still on a quest to learn everything I can possibly learn about what this diagnosis means and more importantly, learning how my daughter learns in order to help her be who God intends for her to be.
My blog will share all I have learned and continue to learn in the hopes that I can help another mama who just does not know where to start from!
